Welcome
It's Your Money. Make it work for you.
Founded in 1995 by Andy Maher, originally a professional sportsman and a teacher, Maher Brownsword was set up based on the founding principles of education and care.
We believe that if you understand the benefits of financial advice, you are better informed to make the right choices for you and your families. Sensible people make money work for them.
Maher Brownsword take pride in the personal financial service and independent advice we offer, guiding you through the financial processes every step of the way. We are not tied to a bank or building society so the whole financial marketplace is available. This means we will work with you to find the best possible financial solution.
The Setup
From the very beginning, Maher Brownsword set out to promote the value of educating clients in financial matters. We believe that the time spent on researching, questioning and guiding you through your financial decisions will result in a greater understanding of how your money works for you.
Maher Brownsword is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), a governing regulatory body who make sure we comply with all the legalities of offering financial advice.
The Team
Andy is your qualified, independent financial adviser and is supported by a great team who are committed to offering you the best personal financial advice service.
We offer advice on: Mortgages, remortages, investments, pensions, buildings and contents insurance, accident sickness and unemployment cover, income protection, life assurance, school fees, private health care, tax planning and Will advice. We will also liaise with your accountant, solicitor or any other professionals with whom you do business.
The Cost
Before we meet or during the initial consultation, a document will be handed to you from the FSA 'Key Facts' which will outline payment options. At Maher Brownsword, the cost of services is tailored to suit individual circumstances. For example, we may charge a flat fee for advice whether you buy the product or not. More often, the financial provider is charged by way of a commission or a combination of the two payment methods is used. The costs will be determined at our initial meeting.
We look forward to working with you. It's Your Money.
